Based on our low post rate, I will require admin activation of new users at the moment.
Also, I'm not at the office, and don't have time to find an elegant solution.

I installed a different kind of CAPTCHA for registrations. Let's see how long it holds.
I also tried to ban users that have registered the last 14 days and look like bots.
