The Speedrun Extravaganza has come to a close, and a winner has been chosen. We are delighted to announce that forum user Metr has claimed the throne, with a dazzling 7:59!

The Rain-team would like to extend a huge congratulations to Metr and his accomplishment that have gone well beyond what we envisioned as possible in this competition, as well as honorable mentions to forum users Kein and JanuZ for their also very impressive times.

In conclusion, it has been a very exciting contest, and we've had an awesome time watching you guys bend the game to your will. We hope you had a great time as well, and maybe we'll see some more impressive speedruns from you guys when the game is released fully. I tried to format the computer/reinstall/do a proper run with sound, but after having lots of issues reinstalling the system, now I can't record with the video capturer, trying to fix it.
And about the doubts regarding the winner, if it's not for Kein and Januz the time would be a lot higher and so beatable.
The run was really improved thanks to them, the rest is about wasting more time and being repetitive, probably I wouldn't think about lots of shortcuts without their input. They deserve their big part of the merit! :·)
That Eurogamer sounds really great, a little far for me I'm afraid! Have fun and show your power there! :)
