Controller mapping files for automatic detection
Posted by: fredrik - 01-15-2014, 16:52 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (4)

The latest version of Teslagrad (latest branch required for Mac) will write gamepad mapping files when exiting the controls menu (if you have a gamepad connected).
These files can be used by Rain to implement fully automatic gamepad mapping in future versions of the game.
The files can be found at:

  • Windows: %UserProfile%\AppData\LocalLow\Rain\Teslagrad\ConfiguredGamepads
  • Linux: ~/.config/unity3d/Rain/Teslagrad/ConfiguredGamepads
  • Mac: ~/Library/Caches/unity.Rain.Teslagrad/ConfiguredGamepads
If you feel that your controller should be supported by default in Teslagrad, please share this file with us!

The default layout should work like the following. The X- and Y-axis should use the default directional control on the left thumb, regardless if it is analog or not.

You can post the content here, or send the file to support@rain-games.com.

  Linux: Steam integration?
Posted by: Tak! - 12-20-2013, 13:25 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

Thanks for supporting Linux, and for shipping on Steam for Linux!

Is there a plan/timeline to also integrate the Linux edition with Steam features like achievements and cloud synchronization?

  Finding scrolls?
Posted by: Storsorgen - 12-14-2013, 21:02 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (20)

So I'm at a point where I need 15 scrolls, but I only have 13.
Is there a way to find where scrolls are on the map? I've visited all the rooms I can atleast once, but do I need to backtrack through everything to find the missing ones? I know where one is, but I can't seem to get it because it disappears.

  Resolution problems.

having a little problem with the game resolution.
found this on the steam forum.

"if it is not much of a hassle you could open:

with notepad and change

resolutionWidth: 1024
resolutionHeight: 768

To desired values. It also would make sense to set:
vSync: to True
and, if problem still there after that:
isFullScreen to False

Save, start the game again."

but couldn't find the file. do any of you have any idea on how to fix this??

please help me..

  Issue with Mac version
Posted by: Marte - 12-13-2013, 17:27 - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

There seems to be a permission issue with the Mac version that is downloaded via our website. In order to fix this, we have the following workaround: Change the Teslagrad executable in Contents/MacOS to be executable. (chmod +x). This should resolve this issue.

If this doesn't work, please contact us and we will help you. We are actively looking into resolving the issue.

Thank you for your patience, and we apologise for the inconvenience.

  Gamebreaking glitch workaround
Posted by: Marte - 12-13-2013, 13:25 - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hey guys! We've been alerted to an issue in the "Lice Mover"-scene where if you load from the menu in one of the two leftmost checkpoints in the attached screenshot, the scene will not load properly and glitch out.

The workaround for this (as illustrated by the red lines) is to immediately fall down and die (very tragic), thus resetting the room and resolving the issue. Note that this sadly doesn't prevent the glitch from happening should you load into the checkpoints again from the menu.

We apologise for not catching this one sooner, and we will be patching this as quickly as we can next week. We hope this isn't too inconvenient.

If you have any further questions about this, post them here and we'll answer as best we can!

Teslagrad releasing December 13th for Windows, Mac and Linux!
Posted by: Marte - 12-04-2013, 15:26 - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (3)

Dear friends and forum users, we are pleased to announce the official release date for Windows, Mac and Linux!

It's been a long two years, but we're finally done, and now, awesome magnetic funtimes are ahead.

So, mark your calendars, because December 13th is the day you can get the full Teslagrad experience from Steam, Desura, GoG.com and GamersGate!

When it comes to Wii U and PlayStation 3, we are still working diligently on porting to these two platforms, and should be ready in 2014. So hang tight, we're working on it!
