So it’s THAT time of the year again. Families reunited, presents, christmas carols everywhere. Some people love it, others wish they could dig a hole in the ground and hide for a couple of weeks. Continue reading
Thanksgiving is almost upon us, and Black Friday, Cyber Monday… well, wait, all these crazy sales have already started. Wherever you look, there is something pretty and shiny on discount trying to get your attention. Sometimes this is exciting, others… it’s a bit exhausting.
So how about doing something different? Instead of Thanksgiving, we propose you to join our Teslagiving season. Buy Teslagrad as a gift to someone special; someone who is going to enjoy the game and the universe behind it. A friend, a significant other, someone in your family, a co-worker. We have a few great opportunities:
Choose yours, and happy Teslagiving!
Not all gaming events take place in big crowded cities, with flashing lights all over the place and huge venues. As its website states, we’re still not totally sure if our annual and beloved Konsoll is a gamedev conference or a festival… But there’s one thing we’re totally positive about: We are proud of the hard work and the dedication that, year after year, bring to Bergen great names of the games industry willing to share their wisdom and experience.
It’s been a while, but let’s look back at PAX West, our latest event. World to the West was there in its Wii U form, and it was quite a ride!
A new appointment with World to the West! We’ll be part of the Nintendo lineup and showcase our Wii version of the game at PAX West (Seattle), from September 2 to 5. Our programmer Thomas Tyssoy will be there, happy to chat and answer questions. So don’t miss the chance, and follow him on Twitter for updates at the event.
Check the complete information about the activities here. And take a look at the Nindies Summer Jam video announcement… pay attention to minute 1:58!
Our four days at Gamescom have been a total madness. But, oh, what a sweet madness!
World to the West was part of the Nintendo booth at the event, as you know, along with other great Nindies (don’t you love the name?) for Wii U: Severed, Jotun, Super Meat Boy, SteamWorld Heist and Axiom Verge. We were confident that our game would be greeted warmly, given the reception and success that Teslagrad achieved when it was released on Wii U. And yes, that proved to be quite right.
It’s summer, but we don’t rest (at least not much). We’re giving the final touches to a new World to the West demo, and we’ll be at Gamescom from August 17 to 21, showcasing our game to everyone who come say hi. We’ll be part of the Nintendo Entertainment Booth (hall 9.1), where you’ll be able to play the Wii U version of the game.
If you’ve been waiting for the Steam Summer Sale like a godsend, then you know for sure that it’s live since the 23rd of June, until the 4th of July. And yep, Teslagrad is part of it: our game is 75% off, so you can add it to your library for barely a couple of bucks. Just click here and let Steam do the magic.
Do you have a question in mind about Teslagrad whose answer you’re dying to know? Something about the lore, the origins of the game… or maybe you’re curious about Rain Games and our future projects? Well, although we’re always open to chat with our players anytime, we’ve decided to give you a place to ask all those burning questions to us, directly. Like… in real time.
Next Thursday, May 5, at 13:00 EST (19:00 CET), you will find us in an AmA at Reddit. There will be two of us present: Peter, our CEO, and Olli, our artist. We’ll be delighted to meet you and chat about Teslagrad, World to the West, our studio… Anything that comes up to your mind. We’ll announce the link in our social media channels, so stay tuned. Looking forward to it!
UPDATED 06/05/2016: here’s the link to the AmA for those of you who couldn’t join us. It was really fun! We’ll be doing it again, that’s for sure.
We’ve been quiet since our last update, and you probably guess why: GDC left us exhausted. It was a great ride, though: first at the ID@Xbox Lounge, and secondly at GDC Play, both World to the West and Teslagrad were warmly received and gathered many kind words from the people who came to play. To all of them: you are our anonymous heroes. A BIG thank you!
